Virtual

Between the Pages (Tuesday, 6/29): Children’s author Alane Adams’ Between the Pages educational video series teaches children how to write great stories using fun videos and activity guides for all ages. This week’s episode (the final one) will be posted on the PCL WordPress and Facebook pages and remain available on demand afterward.

Episode Description: In “Part Five: Completing the Puzzle,” all the pieces of a book are brought together as children learn why most stories have happy endings, delving into the bond that forms between the reader and the character as the author invites the reader into the character’s point of view. The segment finishes with a wrap-up of why authors write stories and pulls together all the pieces discussed in each episode.

Animal Tails Storytime for PreK-2nd grade (Wednesday, 6/30): Watch Zoo Atlanta’s Animal Tails storybook reading of Beckett and the Panda-Monium and explore the feeding structures of pandas with your child, then complete four panda-themed activities together! The video and activities will be posted on the PCL WordPress and Facebook pages.

Animal Tails Storytime for 2nd-5th grade (Thursday, 7/1): Watch Zoo Atlanta’s Animal Tails storybook reading of The Lion’s Share and explore the animal world through connections to literature, then make your own collage as you follow the accompanying activity guide! The video and guide will be posted on the PCL WordPress and Facebook pages.
