As we reach the halfway point in our “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program, I want to congratulate all of the individuals and families participating at the Putnam County Library and Algood, Baxter, and Monterey Branch Libraries. Thank you for your dedication to reading and for making the Library part of your summer plans!
This is our favorite and busiest time of year, and we want to make your library visit a good experience. It is exciting to see everyone connecting with good books, information, programs, and services. We hope that they enrich your life.
We have offered over 100 Summer Reading events at our libraries as of today. Summer Reading participants at the Putnam County Children’s Library have read 27,440 minutes as of Thursday, June 8 just by committing to read 20 minutes a day. The program continues through July 13, so there is still time to participate.
The biggest joy of libraries isn’t in what we have – full shelves and online resources. It is our connection with you. Whether it is answering reference questions, one-on-one technology help, recommending a book, or connecting you with other community organizations through programs, we value the relationships built through these experiences.
Thank you for helping us build a better world!
